The Snag Hunter Recovery Blade is designed to recover snagged lures when fishing from a boat where you are able to position yourself over the lure. The large size Recovery Blade is designed to retrieve lures that are 1 ounce or more with multiple single hooks or one or more treble hooks. This retriever may or may not work on lures with weedless hooks.

With the ever increasing cost of fishing lures, the Recovery Blade was designed to help keep those lures from being lost forever, and can pay for itself in retrieving as few as 1 or 2 lures.

For best results, use a non-stretch rope at least 1/4” diameter for the large blade, cut to an appropriate length for the depth of the water you are fishing. To attach the rope, remove the top quick link, tie one end of your rope to it (we recommend a Palomar Knot) and re-attach the quick link to the Recovery Blade.

To retrieve a snagged lure, position yourself as close to directly above lure as possible. With the Recovery Blade tied securely to a rope, clip both of the Spring Links to the fishing line and slowly lower the Recovery Blade down to the lure. When the Recovery Blade reaches the lure, raise and lower it slowly working around the fishing line until a chain snags a hook. Pull up slowly to free the lure or straighten the snagged hook(s). After using your Recovery Blade, wipe or air dry completely to avoid rust. DO NOT put the Recovery Blade away wet.
